Lionesses at Wembley

Friday 1st December saw our first PE Rewards Trip of the new school year.

This was to recognise commitment to learning in lessons and regular participation in after school clubs and fixtures. We took 45 students from across Key Stage 3 to Wembley Stadium in London to watch the England Lionesses play against the Netherlands in the Nations League Cup. Despite arriving late due to traffic congestion once inside the stadium a fantastic time was had by all. There was lots of cheering, singing and a bit of dancing too!

The QB contingency must have brought a little bit of luck and magic to Wembley stadium because after being 0-2 down at the half time break, the second half saw three incredible England goals (all scored in the goal we were sat behind) and a HUGE win for the Lionesses!

We look forward to running more rewards trips in 2024.

Thank you to Ms Hodson, Mr Kumar and Mr Clarke who all supported this trip.
