Charity Appeal for #loveyourneighbour

As part of the #loveyourneighbour project that Queensbridge pupils were part of recently, we are working with Balsall Heath Forum, Birmingham Progressive Synagogue, Hazrat Sultan Banu Trust, Riverside Church and Church of England Birmingham to support people who are refugees in the camps in Dunkirk, France. Mrs Coyles will be going with the group on 13th January 2017 to deliver aid and help in the kitchens and distribution warehouse.

The group will be taking a number of items with them to help the people in the camps. We would like pupils and families to donate towards this so that we can, together, love our refugee neighbours. Items that are needed are:

  • Small tents
  • Sleeping bags
  • Blankets
  • Rucksacks
  • Roll mats
  • Walking boots (size 38-45)
  • Warm and waterproof men’s coats
  • SIM free and unlocked mobile phones.

Please send items (either new or in good condition) with your child after the holiday.

On Friday 6th January we will also be having a cake sale and cash donations to help fund the trip and buy more supplies to help the camp run.
