i Week Review - Year 7

Year 7 I Week reached its conclusion today with a stunning performance to celebrate our students' work across the Visual and Performing Arts. Through Art, Music, Drama, Dance, and Literacy, we have explored the characters, themes and methods of storytelling in Roald Dahl's Matilda as well as its stage adaptation, Matilda: The Musical

Parents and families arrived this morning to experience an installation of stunning Book Art sculptures and recordings of students reading their own monologues, in which they imagined the innermost thoughts of two central characters - Matilda and Miss Trunchbull.

It was then into the hall for the main performance, a choreographed programme of dance routines and songs from Matilda: The Musical, dramatic scenes and monologues, and some incredible live artwork, executed on stage by our most talented young illustrators.

All staff involved have been simply blown away by the creativity and commitment displayed this week by our pupils; we wish them all an enjoyable and restful Half Term break.
