Queensbridge becomes officially licenced centre for DofE

At a presentation in Sutton Coldfield this week, Queensbridge School was officially presented with its licence to become a centre to provide the Duke of Edinburgh award.

Pupils will start to embark on the award in January and many will soon be out and about in both the school and local community, undertaking their volunteering work as part of the course. Pupils will be demonstrating their commitment to this prestigious award, working towards their Bronze level before they leave the school.

As part of the expansion of the school's Wider Learning programme, Duke of Edinburgh will provide a fantastic opportunity to our pupils, preparing them to achieve the Silver and Gold award as they carry on into sixth form and beyond.
