Summerfest 2019

Each year at Summerfest we share our passion for the Visual and Performing Arts with the whole Queensbridge community.

This Saturday, our performers braved the 30C degree heat for an incredible showcase of Dance, Drama and Music.

On stage, live music ranged from indie and pop to classic soul covers, with the Steel Pan group helping to provide the perfect summer soundtrack.

The QB Theatre Company presented their re-imagination of The Lord of The Flies, leading the audience from the front steps of school to the amphitheatre in a journey through their alternate reality. Meanwhile, dancers from years 8-10 stunned the audience with a high-energy performance of The Greatest Showman.

In the Arts and Crafts tent were pottery and painting workshops, with participants of all ages trying their hand on the potter's wheel, whilst others enjoyed time in the shade with cold drinks and ice cream.

Our thanks as always go to our students and their families, and to the Queensbridge Parents' Group for their support with this event.
