World Book Day
As reading is central to life at QB, World Book Day is always great opportunity to celebrate this. Each year group read a section of Ray Bradbury’s science fiction story ‘The Veldt’ at the beginning of each lesson.
Meanwhile, there was literary potion making in the library alongside book related quizzes. Pupils were asked to unscramble anagrams & solve clues to be in with a chance of winning brand new books.
Then of course, there was the fancy dress competition. Staff and pupils were encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from a book. The results were amazing! A huge thank you for everyone who took part, made potions, dressed up and helped out.
